Given in 3-4 shots over a 6 month period.
Possible side effects of vaccination:
May still get the illness after exposure incident if the body does not respond to the vaccine
Fever or soreness at the injection site
Allergic reactions
If covered employee declines vaccine, he / she:
Must sign declination form, which says he / she knows the risk, and vaccine was made available, but declined by employee
May get free vaccine later if still have occupational exposure
